“Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have demolished your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life.” But what is God’s reply to him? “I have kept for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace.
(Romans 11:3-5)
As you begin 2019, discouragement swirls in the media with political tension, national unrest, and moral decline in the United States of America. Yet, God has not abandoned his people. Just as God reminded Elijah, and Paul reminded the church in Rome, God is at work through the remnant calling them as exiles in their native lands and choosing them as citizens of a new kingdom.
In light of this, we call you, brothers and sisters, to abound in the work of the Lord knowing that your labor is not in vain. Be encouraged as speakers from across the country gather to encourage you to Draw Near to the Lord in 2019. Let this year not be marked by fear, anxiety, and sin; but growth and fruitfulness in the Lord Jesus Christ. And as we draw near to Him, He promises to draw near to us (James 4:8).

FAQ'S
Who is welcome to attend?
Anyone who desires to seek God and grow spiritually in 2019!
What will take place at the conference?
The main sessions will feature speakers from across the country to equip and encourage God's people. The main sessions will also include worship through music, video, & drama. The workshop sessions will be small group settings with the conference speakers. You will choose two workshops among the six.
Will there be a nursery?
A nursery will be provided only for those under the age of 4. If you bring children over the age of 3, they should be in attendance with their families.
How do I register?
You can register in person at Hambden Congregational Church, mailing cash/check to Hambden Congregational Church, or online by clicking on the white buttons. All checks should be made out to Hambden Congregational Church. Contact the church for office/service hours if wanting to pay in person. Payment by credit/debit card can only be done online.
When's the last date I can register?
You can register right before the conference Friday night (1/4), or even on Saturday (1/5) if you cannot attend Friday. However, those registering online or in person before December 23rd, will experience a discounted rate of $5 an individual and $10 a family. Those registering after 23rd, either online or in person, will be charged $7 an individual or $15 a family.
Why is there a cost?
The cost helps us mitigate the cost of our speakers which will be traveling from around the country. It also helps us with providing lunch. There will be no additional offering taken during the conference. Those desiring to attend, but not able to afford the cost, should email the church as soon as possible for a scholarship opportunity.
Who consists as a "family" with regard to registering?
We leave that up to your discretion. As a general rule, if they are traveling with you to the conference, even if they are not "blood" related, consider them family when you register.
What will happen in the possibility of inclement weather?
The conference will look to be held even in bad weather due to the impossibility of rescheduling. However, if blizzard conditions arise, we will post both to our website and our Facebook page of any cancellations. If inclement weather occurs only on Friday, we will follow a modified schedule for Saturday.
What if I sign-up and then back out, will I get my money back?
All sales will be deemed final, with the exception of HCC cancelling the event.
